The main test blog for Easy CSV Importer is really the only blog I have that uses the plugin to full ability. I’ve always had to admit that I have no sites of my own that use the plugin for anything other than testing because I’m so busy working on the plugin itself. I just don’t get the time but I finally got around to updating the test blogs sitemap at www.importcsv.eu just out of curiosity. I did not want to update it too much before out of fear of too much traffic and I was right to be cautious. I’ll let you view my statistics page to see the proof that after updating the sitemap in August, the blog jumped from just under 2000 unique hits to 11,000. I had to re-install everything on the blog this year so the statistics only go 4 months back. What you will see is an increase of about 500% per month, not sure if I can sustain that and I’m not trying hard but I am tweaking other peoples posts templates and automatic post creation settings when they try Easy CSV Importer. To show users what the plugin can do, I’m sort of meddling with their projects. I was really just doing testing myself, I expected positive results but nothing this good.
There are over 50,000 visits and there was less than 4000 posts in the blog. When this is done right, it can really work and it is why I stand by Easy CSV Importer 100%. It takes some knocks, some people get a bad experience because the plugin is packed with so much ability. Sometimes for some users more is not better but there are people making a quick buck and profit from investing in the plugin. They are never keen to step forward because they don’t want people watching what they are doing, learning their approach from monitoring their sites. I can now finally show, what ECI can do on my own site and this was just testing.
