Very nice decision. The advantages are big. I guess there are peak times when people submit new ads and none peak times. Alright maybe I’m wrong but generally everything works like that in the World right? So during none peak times they can now process none active ads. The result will then be less to do tomorrow, is that not all of our goal? Very surprised this is not in place already, it sounds like a key efficiency measure rather than a new idea but at least it’s coming.

Now, maybe we’ll all want to create ads ahead of when we will use them. We can create even more ads before activating them to try different variations and see which pass!

Email Received From Google

Dear AdWords Advertiser,

We’re writing to let you know about some upcoming changes to the types of ads we review.

What’s happening?
Starting on 6 September, we’ll begin reviewing paused ads the same way we review active ads. This means that your new and existing paused ads will be sent through the standard ad approval process. As a result, if your paused ads violate one or more of our AdWords advertising policies, they are likely to get disapproved.

Why?
We’re proactively reviewing paused ads to eliminate unnecessary delays in getting your ads approved and to ultimately enhance your experience with Google AdWords.

When?
Starting on 6 September, we’ll begin reviewing new paused ads, followed in the coming weeks by the review of existing paused ads.

To learn more about our ad approval process, please see http://adwords.google.com/support/aw/bin/static.py?hl=en_GB&topic=1316596&guide=1316546&page=guide.cs

To learn how to get your paused ads re-reviewed if they were disapproved, please see http://adwords.google.com/support/aw/bin/answer.py?hl=en_GB&answer=116204

Competition Over

We choose www.brighterwebs.com and are now creating the new site. Thank you everyone for trying including on Facebook but this name was thought of by us so no prize is being issued this time. However I plan to create more of these and close the competition to us.

Were offering the chance to win a small amount of cash for anyone with a bit of time to consider what our new web development company might be called. It is to be based in Scotland and target Scottish business. We have a few good ideas ourselves but we haven’t found that one that makes us go, aww, ahh, mmm, yeeeeessss, that’s the one for sure lets roll with that! Can you make us go WOW? Just comment below with your idea for a web development business. Remember it has to be available as a web domain, it cannot look or sound much like another company or brand, it should be easy to spell, remember and easy to type without getting in a muddle.

Terms & Conditions

I’m not going to get all serious now, this is not a major competition and the selection of a name can be done by us. We may choose one of our own ideas so the prize is not promised. We will be more than happy to pay someone the prize money if they can think of a name that knocks our socks off! There is also no end date, we’ll simply secure the domain and brand name as soon as we realise what it is going to be. We will update this page with the final result and you’ll easy find out what we decided so don’t worry about your idea being used without a reward. We’ll register the name as an Ltd company in the UK so that must be available also.
