WTG Notice Boxes Released
I just uploaded the new WTG Notice Boxes plugin. This plugin is a spin off from the general Notice Boxes idea I’ve been applying to another plugin. I decided to get this new WTG Notice Boxes plugin released now so that I can get some feedback on the boxes themselves. The more reaction I get on this plugin the better I can prepare my own notice boxes in my other plugins. I believe these boxes are highly important, they are styled to suit their purpose, they are designed to deliver key information and eventually will require user actions. They also need to be very easy to use, not just for users of the WTG Notice Boxes plugin but for me as a developer. I need to be able to deploy any type of box, even those with advanced interaction, quickly and hundreds of times per plugin.
WTG Notice Boxes is all about enclosing content and creating an experience. You can use this plugin to add colour and style to a sales page. We can easily customise the CSS styling to suit themes and we can use it to improve WordPress message boxes. A lot of work is needed for this plugin to reach its full potential, right now it may seem like a very small plugin but by the time I’m finished with it there will be features that make this plugin important to use i.e. interaction statistics, even if it is just a button that the user clicks to confirm they read the information and a lot more. As always, I have a lot of ideas and a growing to do list for the WTG Notice Boxes plugin.

Hi Ryan,
I just used the plugin now and I like the concept, it’s easy to use, looks nice and your tutuorial is easy to follow.
Here are a few comments:
I was dissapointed though to see that I could not make my own boxes, I would like to adjust the colour, add a picture maybe…change the font
I’m not sure if it is possible now but I would like to link to another page when someone clicks on the box
The YouTube feature sounds very interesting to me as well
Now as for your idea to first gather ideas first before adding additional features, well I believe it’s a bit like with the chicken and the egg, I mean if you keep the plugin like this, I don’t believe anyone will be as crazy as me to let you know that it is not what they need and go look for another one.
So I would suggest the opposite approach where you add features and adjust as you go along.
Other then that, great work!
