New ECI Test Blogs
It’s time to control Easy CSV Importer versions more and create a central place for more collaboration. This is a need that I will work on over time but we’ll start with individual blogs per version. The first one of its kind is http://www.importcsv.eu/testing/6.4.6/. Access will only be giving to these blogs when someone shows interest in helping to improve ECI by getting involved. I will offer access after discussions have taking place in forum or email. Only premium users will get access so I will need to confirm your payment if you purchased so long ago I do not remember.
I’m happy to setup blogs on request as we do need to ensure too many do not attempt to use a blog at the same time. The idea is that you login when in discussion with myself and I will let you know when.
The problem with this approach is that a users blog may not be setup the same way. My main priority however is to show that the plugin works when on normal configured server and no plugins or themes interfering then go from there. I often offer free hosting to help users get around issues with their hosting/server so that is on the table.
PHP Versions 5.2, 5.3.6 and 5.3.8
Someone attempted to use the plugin on version 5.3.8 with some poor results but right now I don’t see any need for anyone to be using that version. I will not be spending any time getting ECI to work with 5.3.8 at this time. Mainly because most buyers are still on 5.2 and are either requesting a change with their hosting or moving to hosting I provide. I don’t think all hosting will have 5.3.8 on offer and I simply don’t have the time to find out for sure.
Main focus will be on 5.3.8 with WordPress version 3.2.1.
User registration is currently not allowed.
I am not sure why, but in download area I have version 6.4.4, but this blog seems to be running with 6.4.6
