ECI Version 1.6.5 – Custom Post Types
Version 1.6.4 is not perfect but for most users it does everything needed. So, from here on new versions will come with small changes. Each improvement will be wanted by some and not needed at all by others. So please only take the time to download new versions when “fixes” are stated or new features are needed in your project.

Custom post types are now in use on the Create Posts page. To be clear, there is no function or controls to create new post types, only to use those that are already registered in your blog. The Post Types menu will now have more items, not just “Post” and “Page”. It will be highly suitable when your data fits a single post type or you can easily break your csv file down into separate files, then run separate projects where your data may require use of more than one post type.
Further Possible Post Type Upgrades
I’m not going to get into further upgrades unless I know they are needed. I can think of some with the main one being on the Conditions page. It would be possible to create functions that apply different Custom Post Types depending on values in a chosen column. This may even encourage you to create more custom post types in the aim of organising your information/content.
