ECI: Updated And Not Applied Records List
This panel was created August 2011 on the Updating screen which was also added August 2011.
The table displayed will list all records that have been used to create posts, they have been updated since used but not used to update their post since.
Key Information
- Records showing as being updated but not applied, is not indication of a fault or failure to update. If you feel updating is not happening please double check your configuration and attempt manual updating to get a better idea of what is happening.
- Posts are updated based on your speed profile settings. Records showing as not applied should eventually be applied when automatic updating happens. Again this is based on your speed profile settings.
Update Post Link
It looks like a form button but it is actually a link. The information past in the URL will trigger an attempt to update the records post using the newly updated record. This is mainly to aid testing rather than an actual method to update all your posts. However, the ability to select multiple records on this screen by ticking check-boxes then clicking a submission button to update them all has come to mind. If you need something like this, please comment below to have the plugin upgraded.
Record ID (eciid)
This is the ID of the record in the project database table fro mthe eciid column. It is important to the plugin and should not be changed. It is not to be confused with the ecipostid column or your own ID column
Post ID (ecipostid)
This column will be null until the record has been used to create a post. It will show the actual WordPress post ID and should not be changed without knowing exactly what you are doing.
Imported (eciimported)
The original time and date that the record was imported to the project database table. The eciimported column was added while adding this new screen. The value should never change.
Updated (eciupdated)
The last time the record was updated. This value can exist and change over time even if a record has not yet been used to create a post. However on the the Updated and Applied Records List table this should not be the case.
Applied (eciapplied)
Applied is the term I use to indicate if the record has been used to update it’s connected post. By comparing the eciapplied column to the eciupdated column we can establish if a record has been applied to the post again since the last time the record was updated.
