ECI: Uninstall Reinstall
This is a panel on the Settings page for managing the removal or re-installation of plugin data, not files. Installation and re-installation can seem a bit obvious to many. But those with experience will know that this can actually get complicated especially if you use them by mistake or use the wrong one.
Key Information
- Currently the only buttons available to press will destroy your project history
- Project database tables are not deleted, this is to help avoid data import again
- Files are not deleted by these actions, please use the WordPress plugin page to remove the plugin files or do it using an FTP program
Features
A lot more abilities could be added for managing the plugins own installed options table data. Please also check on any updates made to the Database Manager, that will eventually have tools that will allow deletion of specific records in the WordPress options table.
Re-Install
This will delete all option records then re-install them using the defaults as is installed on the first activation of the plugin
Un-Install
This will delete all option records. Currently nothing is left behind.
Overall Effects
You can damage your ongoing plans by deleting project data. Projects will no longer exist or their progress will not. This can upset the accuracy of a project. Use these tools with caution, consider backup of WordPress options table before using it.
