ECI: Incremental Dates
Incremental dates is the most popular approach to inventing the publish dates of your posts. You will find the panel for this on the Settings page. The values you enter are global to all projects.
Key Information
- You can force all posts to be scheduled by setting the start date in the future.
- WordPress handles scheduled posts and publishes them using CRON
Features
I recommend that you calculate your projected dates if your project is running on staggered and will run for a very long time.
Start Date
Set it in the past to publish all post now. If it is not far enough in the past, you may cause some post publish dates to be set in the future. ECI will then set the post as scheduled and WordPress CRON will publish the post/s when due.
Incremental Random Value
This is the number of seconds between each publish date. If you want to make the time between them exactly the same simply put the same value into both boxes. Different values will apply a random number of seconds between the number you enter.
Projected Dates Table
This table does not show the dates that will be used, only possible dates. It gives a quick impression of how many posts may be created per hour or per day.
Overall Effects
With good calculation you can estimate the last possible post date. By multiplying the number of records by your increment start and doing so with your increment finish you can use the answers to find the average.
