ECI: Custom Field Tokens

Jul 22nd, 2011 // In: Easy CSV Importer // By: Comments 3

Today I added the ability to use multiple tokens and text to design custom field values. This will allow greater SEO results as we can now make more use of our data and the space our page. Right now the tokens are not displayed on the same page, that is the Project Configuration page. You need to copy them on the Finish page. This feature will be available in Easy CSV Importer Version 6.3.2 so look out for that release if you need this ability.

Custom Fields Tokens Form Before Use

This is an image of the new Token Design column, the boxes are very small but they are text areas. That means they can be extended by clicking on the bottom right and dragging.

Custom Fields Tokens Form After Use

This is an example use for Custom Field Token Design. The sentence I typed along with tokens to fill in blanks with data might not make a lot of sense but it should be enough to show you just how useful this will be. You can spin your own content easily. I’ve not tested it, but it may be possible to add shortcodes here along with tokens and achieve endlessly creative results.

    Nice addition for custom fields!

Tried to send an email about the “Category” meta data that Yoasts SEO plugin provides… I found this in my database… and here are all the parameters…

    wpseo_taxonomy_meta

    wpseo_title
    wpseo_desc
    wpseo_metakey
    wpseo_bctitle
    wpseo_canonical
    wpseo_sitemap_include
    wpseo_noindex
    wpseo_nofollow

The data for these are included in my spreadsheets, just need some sort of dropdown box or something to set these for category

I have eci completely integrated with eci, with category meta data etc…

But there appears to be a limit with wpseo_taxonomy_meta in wp_options in the db..

With thousands of categories having a long title + long description… I have maxed out.

I contacted Yoast about the limitation of wpseo_taxonomy_meta and how to increase/expand the limit, hopefully I can get a reply soon.
