Interested In Helping With Translation?
I don’t want to move to fast so the chances are unless someone volunteers to help, the next alpha version will still not have translation. I have only run some tests and you will find .pot,.po and .mo files in the plugins BETA package.
If you are interested in translating, please let me know, download the BETA which already contains some translation files and then return it when you are complete. I will avoid working on the plugin while you do so. I was using Poedit and will continue my work within the next week. I was following conflicting tutorials and wasted many hours but I’m happy to say translation should not be far away now.
I welcome any advice for this next step for Easy CSV Importer.
BETA Downloaded Twice – New Approach Coming
I want to point out that only a couple of people have downloaded the BETA so it is obvious to me that the approach is not going to work well enough to increase the speed of release. In future I will provide new customers with the option to download a single file, that file will be the very latest version, tested by myself as best as possible. This is how I’ve always operated. However after downloading the latest version for the first time, a new button will appear for the optional download of an older version, obviously a more stable version. That however depends on any changes in WordPress which may effect older version, something that will not happen very often.
