ECI 6.3.0 Released
It is getting much better, I just run more test with ClassiPress and seeing better results for Easy Projects. Remember this is the system that configures everything it can automatically but the criteria and arguments need to be just right for it to work. I’ve finally decided on the best approach to automatically created custom fields and it is so exciting to watch.
Category Splitter Separator Setting
You can now go to the Advanced panel on the Settings page and change the character that is between each category value when your categories are stored in a single column. Now you need to remember this value is global meaning if you have 2-3 projects requiring the splitter, it will effect them all when changed mid-way. I can’t see that being an issue but if anyone needs the setting to be per project just let me know. I try to avoid as much project settings as possible to keep the interface simple but anything for sales right!
Create New Project = White Screen?
Two people reported this in a short space of time, so I got worried. No one else has reported such a problem. I spent two days with one user and it was decided their servers configuration was causing the white screen. I dedicated the time to ensure there was not a serious problem in the plugin effecting the majority of users and I was about to get flooded with emails. There was a MySQL error found at the point of creating a project, caused by trying to do a SELECT query to check if a table existed or not. A better approach as been added, not sure if it will make a difference but I’m not sure it is such a big issue anyway. If you get a white screen on creating a project, please let me know but please also consider trying on another server. You can also try my test blog and see that plugin does work fine on Heart Internet.
If you do see a difference, please let me know. I would like to know about users servers, php.ini and their hosting.
