ECI 2.0 Test Blog Updated
I’m still working hard on version 2.0 and I’m happy with it so far. The public test blog can be found at http://www.importcsv.eu/eci2/ and anyone may register to try the new plugin. It will be called Easy CSV Importer 2.0 but it is a very different plugin. I’m using most of the original code but with modifications that makes the code easier to understand and even easier to modify. New features will come faster and debugging won’t take so long. Partly because there is more information available, take a look at the new Project Manager page. The plugin makes a record of the sql queries used in each project and shows information about your projects database table including the columns it holds; this helps to ensure it was created properly and importing is going smooth. These are just some of the improvements that will help us prepare our data and run successful projects much quicker than before.

I’d like to try this. My version doesn’t have the change separator menu, so I am hoping that this version will take care of my file issue.

Yes the latest version of ECI allows you to change seperate at the start of your project. The new ECI 2.0 allows it to be done in a different way, possibly a little clearer.
