Easy CSV Importer Requires PHP 5.3

Current Minimum PHP Version Required: 5.3

There has been a flood of complaints from people suggesting all sorts of problem with Easy CSV Importer caused by older versions of PHP being used. This is not always because the hosting is not providing it, there could be other reasons. Please go to the Status page, scroll down and check the PHP version within Easy CSV Importer. Although your hosting control panel may suggest you are on 5.3, it is still possible WordPress is being loaded with a different version. If your hosting is not providing 5.3 you may need to upgrade, however you should not need to pay extra. I have seen some hosting charging an administration fee, what a lot of bollocks.

Checking Your PHP Version

Go to the Status page. Scroll down to Server and the PHP Version shows there. Currently my own hosting is showing 5.3.6

htaccess

Please check your htaccess file. You may find a line like this…

SetEnv DEFAULT_PHP_VERSION 5

Remove that line, save and upload. This will solve your problem if your hosting control panel shows you are set to php 5.3 and it should have an effect without delay.
