1st ECI Affiliate Payments

This is a good day! I’ve just processed mass payment to all affiliates for Easy CSV Importer. I suspect some people have not even reached their full potential on what they could earn and are just testing my affiliate system. I thank all affiliates for your efforts, you will now see that the system works and your commission is being totalled.

Anyone can register to be an affiliate and earn by displaying ads where WordPress users will see them.

Use Google AdWords to Earn More

One of my affiliates told me that he plans to spend half of the commission on Google AdWords, bringing in traffic straight to the Easy CSV Importer landing page using the affiliate url and bringing traffic to his own positive review of the plugin. The 2nd approach is a good way to grab some traffic for your own site and have the chance to get a sale by putting your affiliate url on your site.

Update – Cheeky Emails Received

This is a bit amusing in a way. After posting this information regarding affiliates being paid, I had a response from a few people. It seems many ECI users think I have a lot of money, because I’m paying affiliates. I’ve had to explain that affiliates get 50% of sales and I’m still expected to provide the same service to their referred customers. Considering I spend 5 hours per day on customer support and 5 hours upgrading the plugin or other admin. It works out very little money because the time spent providing support is time taking away from larger paid projects.

I don’t really earn a lot. In fact, I earn very little, sometimes not much more, per month, than someone on benefits. By the time costs are taking from plugin sales, I have enough to avoid a slap around the head by my partner and get told to change my career.

I do not own a car, a house, a big TV or a big fridge. I earn just enough to ensure my daughter is raised with what she needs and keep WebTechGlobal ticking over nicely. That is thanks to everyone who has purchased the plugin and supported me. I just thought if people want to email me with comments regarding what I earn, asking for money back months after buying the plugin, I might aswel put down some truths.

I’ve only been doing this a couple of years since finishing University, I’m doing my best and the version history of the plugin shows it gets constant work.
