Cheap Data Import To WordPress
Don’t pay hundreds of dollars or pounds or any currency to import data to create posts in WordPress. Recently I’ve discovered even more people paying out large sums of money to have done what some plugins can do for you. There is a wide rage of plugins, all providing different features and on offer from free or with a price when premium. There is even one that charges a subscription, so there is a varied range for you to choose from. None of them will cost the fee I’ve found a lot of developers to be charging. The chances are a developer will already have or easily purchase such a plugin if you request them to import data too WordPress. They may even tell you that the import will take X amount of time but actually do it in half that time because they use a plugin to do the job. I know this because I’ve been the sucker hiring freelancers to get such jobs done.
I decided to create a plugin to import data and create posts. I started my work in this area 2 years ago. I now sell is Easy CSV Importer for just £29.99. I’ve been hired for about the same amount to then perform an import. The import can easily be performed within 2-3 hours, that is including discussion with the client about their specific post content template needs, categories, custom fields, tags, custom post types, updating and any other unique requirements they might throw at me. Sure, the hire fee can begin to increase but it takes something unique in a clients request to make that happen.
My point is, the costs start low and a lot can be achieved for the money in terms of building a site. Thousands of posts or pages, package with as much content as your CSV file has to offer. Do not go to a developer who charges a high hourly rate as this type of work does not require someone with 10 years of experience. As with any project, you need to watch out for the so called developers who charge very high hourly amounts to fund their lifestyle rather than to equal their level of ability. More so in this type of work because it can be easy and quick, attracting less ethical developers.
I just want to say that I’m not advertising Easy CSV Importer. It is simply the plugin I’ve offered to WordPress users for long enough to know what I’m talking about. ECI is an option and it is suitable for most projects but it can’t be suitable for 100% of the projects emailed to me. I try to make it suitable for as many as I can by upgrading it constantly but there is always going to be a competitor taking a different approach that may suit you. Spend a little time shopping around, get what you really need and reduce your costs as a reward for a little research.
