Affiliates 1 Sales Per 25 Clicks
Last night I blogged about how I had to decrease affiliate commission from 50% to 25%, I was basically making less money out of sales than my affiliates once costs are applied and the fact I work 12 hour days.
So I thought I would check on the success of the affiliate campaign overall and it looks good. Even 25% commission on these sale to click ratios is very good. My affiliates will be able to check their own traffic sent to my site and I’m sure they their statistics will not differ.
Affiliate Statistics
- There is an average of 1 sale per 25 visitors for Easy CSV Importer
- No other products are sold at this time but will be in the near future
- There are currently 10 affiliates but only around 5 appear to be sending traffic
Cookie Period
As an affiliate of other websites, I always find it unfair when a cookie only lasts 30 days. Many people will bookmark a product and return later. I myself being a developer will bookmark something I discover, knowing it will help me for a specific project already planned. It could be 3-4 months after the time I bookmark the sales page.
I offer 365 days to increase the chances of repeat commission, maybe even on products or services that never existed when the affiliate originally got the click through!
